Somewhere but not Here by Stephen Byrne Reviewed in Vocal

At the beginning of July, my little book was reviewed in the wonderful Vocal Media platform by poetry super-reviewer Laura DiNovis. A review I am delighted with on a platform I love.

After getting the news of the book becoming a finalist in the International Book Awards, it was a nice surprise to receive a thorough review.

DiNovis reviews tons of poetry books for free on her platform at Vocal. She regularly sends out calls for writers to send on their poetry books and she does all this for free.

She asks for small donations if anyone feels like giving the price of a coffee and more and I highly recommend people helping out. It is not very often you come across a poetry book lover and reviewer, willing to give up their time to write a review on a book.

Check out my review and other reviews by DiNovis here and if you have a poetry book looking for reviews, go to her Facebook page and look for call outs.

In other publication news, I have a poem in print coming this fall in the brilliant Fall Lines – a literary convergence, volume V, called ‘To All Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, Brothers. A Sonnet’ (from my book) and also two new poems in Poets Reading The News.

On September 13th I have a reading for Tangelo, a monthly literary reading series hosted by the OGGI Gallery in Chicago.
